The Razer Blade Pro has just been introduced and it is the thinnest laptop ever developed specifically for the PC gamer. As you may know, Razer has been the standard for the PC gamer ever since the introduction of the original Razer Blade. Boasting the most innovative designs with the Switchblade UI, and hardware specifics that deliver the best gaming performance, the Razer Blade is still one of, if not, the best gaming laptop that can be purchased to date; which is what makes The Razer Blade Pro so impressive. Setting a new standard in gaming laptops, The Blade Pro now gives you all the benefits of its predecessor, in a thinner, lighter, more portable device that will deliver extreme performance for even the most demanding PC gamer.
The Razer Blade Pro has a number of impressive upgrades to list, starting with the latest Intel® Core™ i7-4700 HQ Quad Core Processor with Hyper Threading; offering 2.4GHz / 3.4GHz of processing speed, which will take the programs that demand more of your processor and increase their quickness, as well as have them perform to their maximum potential. Next is the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M graphics processor with 2GB of GDDR5 on dedicated RAM. Even the most critical PC gamer will be able to appreciate the quickness and extremely fast frame rates that can be achieved. Another great addition to The Razer Blade Pro is the SSD hard drive with up to 512GB of storage. A Solid State Drive offers a faster upload time due to the fact that the SSD does not have moving parts and can retrieve data faster than a traditional 5400rpm hard drive. This innovation in hard drives provides a much faster boot time as well as speeding up the launch time of programs and games. All for these upgrades, coupled with Switchblade UI, makes it pretty easy to decide on a new gaming laptop. For a breakdown of gaming laptop components, check out the best gaming laptop for you page.

The Razer Edge Pro has just been released by Razer and is the first Tablet developed for the PC gamer. Just seeing this thing in action is pretty awe-inspiring. After the release of the much awaited Razer Blade, I would have thought that Razer would be hard-pressed to come out with something so innovative. The Edge Pro is making me second guess myself about owning a new gaming laptop and instead I’m now thinking, Tablet.
The Razer Edge is equipped with everything you might expect the best gaming laptop or tablet to have. It comes with: an Intel Core i7 Dual core processor with Hyper Threading (Base 1.9GHz / Turbo 3.0GHz), 8GB of DDR3 Memory, NVIDIA’s GT 640M LE video card with 2GB DDR3(Optimus Technology), a 128/256GB SSD (SATA-III) hard drive which is a very good choice of hard drive for the speed and size for this device and the Windows 8 OS. It also comes with a 10.1” IPS Multi-touch HD Display, Dolby Home Theater v4, an HD Webcam (front-facing, 2MP) and weighs about 2lbs. One of the more impressive things about the Razer Edge Pro is that this Tablet is that even though it’s designed with the PC gamer in mind, it also supports many different facets of gaming that will appeal to hand held gamers, as well as console gaming enthusiasts. The way that this is done is by making this Tablet adaptable though it’s different Modes. Tablet mode is best way to enjoy in depth touch screen games and applications. Keyboard mode incorporates a keyboard dock that is designed for PC games and applications by converting the Pro into a laptop style PC with reflective acoustics which give you better sound. Mobile console mode works by using the Gamepad controller which allows you to have console style gaming anywhere you can take your Tablet with full PC game support. Home console mode with the Docking Station for the Razer Edge Pro gives you a desktop
display with peripherals, or you can hook up to the big screen with multiple gamepad controllers.
With these four different Modes for gaming and the idea that they all can be produced with just one device, I am looking forward to see what Razer is going to do next. Whether it’s the next best gaming laptop, or just coming up a new gaming laptop that will keep the even the most avid PC gamer satisfied. Or perhaps maybe developing a gaming Smartphone; whatever the case may be, I’m really quite impressed with what Razer is doing for the gaming laptop community.
