Thorn Year 3 Exotic Weapon Quest Here is the Thorn Year 3 Exotic Weapon Quest breakdown. Take a look if you would like to know what is involved with the quest. It’s very similar to the Thorn bounty from year one, so if you…
Here is the Destiny Rise of Iron Khvostov Exotic Weapon Quest. It’s a quick breakdown of everything you have to do to get Destiny’s Khvostov 7g-ox exotic auto rifle. It was a pretty easy quest but pretty fun as well. In case you didn’t know, the Khvostov 7g-0x is the very first weapon you find when you start the very first story mission in Destiny. Bungie has since made the Khovostov an Exotic Weapon, here in year 3, and it is the most versatile weapon in the game. It is a great primary for any type of game-play and well worth enduring the quest to get it.
Step One: Finding a Splicer Intel Relay
You can find a Splicer Intel Relay in the Plaguelands. You must first located a Brood Mother or a Brood Knight in the Plaguelands. They spawn randomly in just about every area of the Plaguelands so they shouldn’t be too hard to find. After you kill them, they will drop a Splicer Intel Relay. You can only hold one Relay at a time so, if you kill a Brood Mother, or Knight, and they don’t drop a Relay for you, just check your inventory because you may already have one.
Step Two: Head back to the old highway where you first started Destiny!
It’s important to know that you must get to the old highway through the Plaguelands. It just makes since that for this Destiny Rise of Iron Khvostov Exotic Weapon Quest you should have to start in an exclusive Rise of Iron area. You cannot patrol the Cosmodrome and get the the same area. Just start by patrolling the Plaguelands and then head back to the Rocketyard, then to the Divide and so on. Just check out the video to see exactly how to get there. You will notice that the path has changed a little. Like in the video, you will get to an area that requires unlocking. This is where you use the Splicer Intel Relay. Once you use it, it will unlock and then you can head through to the old highway. There are a few enemies there at the old highway. Also, there is a Fallen Ketch in the distance. You must open the chest in the back right corner of the Ketch and then you will have the Khvostov 7G Schematic.
Step Three: Go see Shiro-4 in the Iron Temple.
Talk to Shiro-4 and he will give you the official start of the quest. This step is call “We Found a Rifle”
Step Four: Collect 10 Manual Pages and 3 Khvostov Parts in the Plaguelands.
The 10 Manual pages are dropped randomly from any Splicer enemies in the Plaguelands. Just head to the Plaguelands and take out enough enemies to collect 10 Manual pages. Now, the three Khvostov parts are in specific places so just check out the video and you can see exactly where they are. One is in Dock 13 under some stairs. Another is in the Blast next to the building in the center of the area, and one is in the Refinery close to the entrance to the Blast. After they are all collected head back to Shiro-4 in the Iron Temple.
Step Five: Go back to see Shiro-4 in the Iron Temple, again.
Talk to Shiro-4 and he will send you to do a mission called, “A Khvostov Rising”. The mission will show up on your planet map.
Step Six: Complete the mission, A Khvostov Rising.
This is pretty much the last step of the quest. Follow the mission and you will come across the Splicer Captain Kaviss. There are a ton of ads that spawn with him, in this part of the mission, so I would recommend having a fire-team of three to get through this part. You can definitely solo this mission but it’s just a lot easier with a fire-team. After you take him out he will drop you the Khvostov 7g-0x exotic auto rifle. There is still more to do in the mission so make sure you stick around to finish. There’s just more enemies at the Ketch again and after you kill them you get a little quality time with your ghost.
Final Step: Talk to Shiro-4 one last time.
Go back to and talk to Shiro-4 one last time and then you can hit the “complete quest” button. You don’t have to do this last step to get the Khvostov, but if you don’t complete this last step, then the mission will linger in the quest slot until you do.
Another thing to note is that, if you have your original Khvostov, you can dismantle it and you will be able to bypass the first part of the quest line where you have to get a splicer Intel Relay. That’s the Destiny Rise of Iron Khvostov Exotic Weapon Quest. Thank for checking out the article and video. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or concerns.
