Destiny Hand Of Judgment Scout Rifle Review
How to get it
The Destiny Hand of Judgment is a Scout Rifle in Destiny the game. Bungie.net says there are two ways to get the Hand of Judgment but I only know of one way that works. Receiving it in a level up package for The House of Judgment. Rank up (after level 5) and you start to receive packages that contain an armor piece, weapon, or class item from Variks, at the Reef social space. These packages give you a chance to acquire the Hand of Judgement. Now because Destiny RNG is such an unforgiving bastard, it may take you a couple of tries to get exactly what you want but, you should keep at it. Even if it takes you 19 tries like it did for me(sad face). Now there are some ways to help rank up faster, like, House of Judgment rep boosters or you can “use” Prison of Elders treasure keys and that will give you some HOJ rep. Variks also offers 3 House of Judgment bounties that give you HOJ Rep after you have completed them. Lastly, you can do the Prison of Elders on any level to receive reputation points. Level 41 and 42 POE offer double the reputation as the year one POE, just a heads up.
Stats and Perks
The Destiny Hand of Judgment is a High Impact/low rate of fire scout rifle. Much like the Jade Rabbit, Chaos Dogma or the Colovance’s Duty from Iron Banner. Just like all legendary weapons, it comes with a random set of modifiers that effect the performance of the weapon. Now, this is where you can get different loadouts and take advantage of different “perks” to find a weapon that best suit your style of play. There are certain modifiers that are considered better than others but, I believe that all modifiers are viable and that you should just try and find the ones that work best for you. It is the weapon-type itself, in combination with the modifiers, that make the Destiny Hand of Judgment that I use, a superior weapon in my opinion. It is a high impact Scout with explosive rounds. With explosive rounds, a portion of the bullets damage affects the area around the impact of the bullet. Coupled with high impact, this makes it a very powerful primary weapon…at any range. In the video I go over some damage tests that I do in order to decide if the weapon is worth keeping and the Destiny Hand of Judgment has proven to be the best primary in my inventory.
Why i like it
The main reason I use the Destiny Hand of Judgment is because, in most cases where it takes two or more rounds to eliminate a target, the Hand of Judgment can do it in one. In the video I show you how it can take down a Cabal Phalanx or Legionary in just one shot. Where as if you were to shoot the same enemy; at the same distance, with the same archetype of scout rifle, it would take two shots. Now I am aware that most hand cannons can take down these same enemies in just one shot but, the scout rifle can do it at any distance including extremely long ranges. Where as the hand cannons require you to be pretty close so’s not to be affected by the damage drop off that occurs the further you are from your target. This makes the Destiny Hand of Judgment extremely viable for the toughest encounters in the game, including the Crucible. I don’t think there can be a better weapon for me in the game and believe me I’ve looked. Take a look at the video for a little more information on the weapon and see for yourself. I suggest that, anyone who’s comfortable using a scout rifle, you should definitely get to ranking up that House of Judgment and get one for yourself. you will not be disappointed.
