Destiny Rise of Iron Iron Banner Changes information
Here is the Destiny Rise of Iron Iron Banner changes information that we have received. There are some important changes to make the progress and rewards more accessible to all types of players. With the Destiny Rise of Iron expansion coming out next month, and the Iron Lords being the focus of that expansion, I think it will be save to assume that there will be some pretty obvious changes to Iron Banner and the Iron Lords story as a whole.
For starters, Felwinter Peak will be the new social space, and the Iron Lords will be represented there all the time. When Iron Banner does return during the next expansion, the Iron Banner vendor will be located at Felwinter Peak. We are not sure who the new vendor will be but we do know that he/she will be at the Peak. There are some shots of Lord Saladin at Felwinter Peak but we don’t know if he will be the IB vendor or if he will be there for story mission progression or both.
One big change to the Iron Banner experience is that the gear needed to increase your Iron Banner reputation gains will no longer be needed to level up more quickly. Bungie is doing away with reputation buffs and going with a more universal approach to leveling. Now just participating in Iron Banner will be all the boost you need to level up more quickly. Also, the reputation increase that you receive, the closer you get to the end of Iron Banner, will no longer be there. So at any time during Iron Banner, completing a match will give you the same experience no matter the day you play on. To supplement this, Bungie has just made it easier to gain reputation as a whole. Without the need to wear certain gear or play on a certain day, the new Iron Banner experience will be a better display of individualism and freedom for Guardians.
Lastly, the Iron Banner bounty system is getting some changes as well. Bounties will be made to be a little more friendly to the casual player by being a little less demanding. Less intense demands for completing a bounty will make it easy to get rewards for exclusive weapons and armor. Also, just completing a bounty will guarantee a reward of a weapon or a piece of armor. Not sure exactly how I feel about this new “ease” of earning Iron Banner exclusive gear. Bungie did say that they hope this doesn’t take away from the nature of Iron Banner, being a test to see if you are capable of the intense demand of high level gameplay. I feel like they may just be taking away the prestige of earning and owning iron banner exclusive gear. Just my thought but I did love the feeling of being the first person that I saw with the new Iron Banner Level 5 emblem. If it’s just easier to get Iron Banner gear, then I feel like it won’t mean that much to the Hard Core gamers out there. These Destiny Rise of Iron Iron Banner Changes will be interesting. Either way, I cannot wait to become an Iron Lord.
