The Division 1.6 Armor Change
Hey everybody this is AreYouGaming’s “Alphateam” and today we are going to be talking about The Division 1.6 armor change. Now I’ve seen a ton of videos about Patch 1.6 and everyone is letting you know that Armor is quote un-quote, “going away”. Now, this is true but Armor isn’t leaving the game entirely. What I’m saying is that Armor will no longer be available as an attribute on your gear; nor will it come on mods that you can add to your gear, but it still will be on the base stats of your pieces of gear. So, even though Health will be the new attribute to maximize your toughness, armor will still play a part. It just won’t be as important. To have the absolute best toughness you can get from your gear, you will need to make sure that, not only are you rolling for more health but that, your gear comes with the max base armor that you can get on each piece. So in preparation for patch 1.6, what are the max base armor numbers you should be looking for? I’m glad you asked. Here we go!
For your Body Armor, The max base armor you can get is 2003. Now this is the max armor you can get before adding any mods or rolling any attributes to increase your armor. So if the number on your gear right now is any higher, take off any mods and subtract any attributes that have armor. That will let you know how much base armor you piece has and after that, the closer you are to 2003 the better. This is the number that will not go away when The Division 1.6 armor change comes out, so make sure you are looking for pieces of gear that are as close to this number as possible, in order to have the absolute best toughness.
Next is the Mask, Gloves and Holster. Each one of these can come with a max base armor of 1001. Again, the closer you are to this number the more armor you can have to help mitigate your toughness in 1.6.
Next is your Knee Pads. They can come with a max base armor of 1668. Keep an eye on your gear right now to make sure your gear is close to these numbers, otherwise start collecting new gear that will have these numbers.
Last is the Backpack and it comes with a max base armor of 1334.
Now these numbers represent absolutely all of the possible armor you will be able to have in The Division 1.6 armor change. If you want to maximize your toughness after 1.6 comes out, you will need to roll for health of course, but having this extra bit of armor in your overall toughness can make all the difference. Get the most out of your gear, otherwise what’s to point in wearing it? Just thought I’d make this article and video to clear up any confusion about armor “going away” in 1.6. Again it will no longer be available as an attribute or be available on a prototype mod but, it will still come on your gear as a base stat.
