The Division 1.6 Nomad Build – You Want to Live Forever?
Here is our Division 1.6 Nomad build, finally. We did some serious grinding to get all the gear we needed. This build is meant for those agents who want to live forever(i’m channeling my inner Highlander). Coupled with some serious toughness, health on kill and Recovery Link, it will be extremely hard for you to go down in a gunfight. Having said that, let get onto the breakdown of our Nomad/Highlander loadout.
Major Attributes: Health and Health on Kill
Minor Attribute: Ammo Capacity
We want to supplement damage output anywhere we can without compromising our overall toughness with this Division 1.6 Nomad Build. The Barrett’s Chest piece is a good way to get that little extra weapon damage.
Major Attribute: Health on Kill
Minor Attribute: Burn Resistance
This will be our only piece of Gear that is Spec’d for Firearms. This is also one of the three pieces of gear where we can get Health on Kill. That will be very important during our encounters in PVP.
Major Attribute: Health
Minor Attributes: Burn, Shock and Bleed resistance are great choices
Rolling health whenever possible is a must. Here is one of the pieces of gear where we can do that. Also, this piece of gear is Stamina. Your Stamina options can be on any piece of gear but we’ve chosen to go with it here in order to be congruent with the video. Having four pieces of Stamina gear, with all the health mods and attributes, will get us to a toughness around 405k. With that kind of toughness we will be able to stay alive and keep shooting while your enemies are popping med kits and trying to reload.
Major Attribute: Health
Minor attribute: Ammo Capacity or Burn Resistance
Health again will be our major attribute of choice and for the minor, it’s good to go with ammo capacity or burn resistance. We had to make a compromise with our backpack in the video. After grinding for over 5 weeks, we never got a Nomad backpack that health as a major attribute. Therefore, we had to settle for one with Skill Power and then roll for Stamina. It was some terribly bad luck. So, to set the record straight you should try and get Health on this backpack and then have Firearms or Stamina.
Major Attributes: SMG damage, Critical Hit Chance and Health on Kill.
It’s important to get Health on Kill as an attribute but, for the others, it’s really up to your weapon specifics. I recommend some sort of weapon damage and crit chance or crit damage.
Major Attribute: Health
Again, a health roll is the best option here hands down. We want as much health as we can get.
All gear mods should be Firearms and Health. We’ve tried a lot of variations with the mods and these still seems to be the best options. These is where we will be getting some good support to our overall toughness and firearms. Since the Division 1.6 Nomad build is primarily built around toughness, we need that boost to firearms any where we can get it.
Also, all of the performance mods should be “Pulse Critical Hit Chance“. We will go over why in the “Talents” section.
Because the Division 1.6 Nomad build gives us 15% Health on Kill, we need to be looking for “sustained” in our weapon talents. As far as the weapons go, you have the freedom to use whatever weapons you want as long as they have “sustained”. Sustained, gives us and extra 6% of Health on Kill. Along with the Health on Kill from all of our Gear attributes, you have the potential to get 36% Health on Kill. You could also try for predatory to get 35% Health over 20 seconds but we have found that this is a little less effective.
We are using the Defibrillator because we always want to remain team players and the Pulse Scrambler in order to negate anyone else’s pulse abilities. With the scramber, we can make sure no one is getting that extra crit damage and crit chance on us when we are out there running and gunning.
Recovery Link, in my option is the better of the three Signature Skills hands down. Always choose it.
Talents like “Critical Save” and “On The Move” are great. There is some freedom of choice here as well for this Division 1.6 Nomad build but choose the talents that best compliment your game play style.
Three important things to remember with this Division 1.6 Nomad build are:
- Trust your Nomad to save you. Once you Nomad is ready to use, you have to be confident that it will save you once you run out of health. What that means is you have to fight your instinct to heal yourself or stop firing your weapon and run for cover. Just remember that it will save you and you can just keep shooting your adversary. Let the Nomad save you.
- You will get Health on Kills. If you know that your are about to take and enemy down then don’t heal yourself; kill the enemy and let the health on kill heal you. That health on kill will also active your health regeneration and you will be back to full health in a manner of seconds.
- Utilize those Critical Hits. We spec’d into Critical Hit Chance for a reason. Pop that pulse and take full advantage of the extra weapon damage. Remembering that you have that extra damage is very important in this Division 1.6 Nomad Build.
Have fun with this one everyone. Next to the Firecrest Build, it have become my favorite gear set in The Last Stand. Thanks for taking the time to check out this article and the video.
